Building a Cyber-Resilient Public Sector
HM Government Cyber Security StrategyThe national significance of this initiative was underscored by the Prime Minister’s endorsement in the Foreword. Our mission was to design materials that would engage, inform, and resonate with
all stakeholders, ensuring a relevance and impact that would last for the next eight years.
Background
The Integrated Review and National Cyber Strategy outline the UK government’s ambition to position the nation as a leading democratic and responsible cyber power. This strategy is essential for safeguarding the country’s interests in a rapidly evolving technological landscape. Our task was to take this content-rich document and transform it into a structured, visually compelling, and accessible resource.
We focused on creating a clear hierarchy, incorporating infographics, and developing a cohesive design that enhances understanding and retention. Accessibility, diversity, and representation were at the forefront of our design process. The key visual element—the arrow montage—was crafted to symbolise forward-thinking and inclusivity. This motif was simplified and consistently applied throughout the document to maintain visual coherence.
To ensure the document remained approachable, we implemented a harmonious colour palette, clean infographics, and ample white space. These design choices helped to keep the content engaging and digestible, even in a lengthy format.
In addition to the strategy document, the campaign included the creation of an animated kinetic summary video and social media assets, highlighting the key points of the strategy.
The result
- An 84-page strategy document designed for both print and accessible digital PDF formats
- A suite of infographics illustrating key areas of the strategy
- A kinetic typography animated video
- Social media assets designed to communicate the strategy’s key messages
